Independent insurance and honest tax prep, right here in southwest Houston.
We are an independent agency, which means we shop multiple carriers for you instead of selling you one company’s products. Same office files your taxes.
Licensed in Texas
Independent, multiple carriers
Insurance and taxes under one roof
Preparing taxes since 2007
What we cover
Business Insurance
Commercial auto, general liability, workers comp, and business owners policies for Houston contractors and small businesses.
Auto Insurance
Personal auto coverage shopped across our carriers so you are not calling five companies yourself.
Home and Renters
Homeowners, renters, and flood coverage, including the questions Houston homeowners actually ask about flood zones.
Health and Medicare
Marketplace health plans, Medicare Advantage, Part D prescription plans, and hospital indemnity.
Life Insurance
Term and permanent life coverage sized to what your family actually needs, explained in plain language.
Tax Preparation
Individual and small business returns, prepared by people who have been doing this since 2011.
Built for Houston contractors and trade businesses
If you run an HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, glass, or janitorial business, you already know the problem. A general contractor asks for a certificate of insurance before you can start, and you need it fast, from someone who understands what the contract actually requires.
We write commercial auto, general liability, workers compensation, and business owners policies for Houston-area trade businesses. Tell us the trade, the trucks, and the deadline, and we will shop it.
The same office that handles your coverage handles your return
Westly Rogers has been preparing tax returns since 2007. The business opened in 2011 and added insurance in 2016.. That order matters. Most of our clients came to us for a return first and stayed because they did not want to explain their situation twice to two different offices.
Individual returns. Self-employed and small business returns. Year-round, not just January through April.
Why independent matters
A captive agent works for one insurance company and can only sell you that company’s products. When their rates go up, your options are to accept it or start over somewhere else.
We are independent. We hold appointments with multiple carriers, so when a rate moves or your situation changes, we shop it again and stay with you. You get one recommendation with the tradeoffs explained, not five quotes and a shrug.
Where to find us
About Rogers Financial Agency
We help individuals, families, and small businesses in southwest Houston protect what they have built. We combine income tax preparation with independent insurance, which means one office and one relationship instead of two.
Westly Rogers has been preparing tax returns since 2007. The business opened in 2011 and added insurance in 2016. As an independent agency, we hold appointments with multiple carriers and compare them for you rather than selling one company’s products.
Our approach is simple. We listen to what you actually need, explain the tradeoffs in plain language, and stay with you when your situation changes. We are not just your agents, we are your partners in financial security.

Questions we get asked
What does an independent insurance agency actually do differently?
We are not employed by an insurance company. We hold appointments with several carriers and compare them for you. When your rate moves or your needs change, we re-shop it instead of telling you to take it or leave it.
How fast can I get a certificate of insurance for a job?
Call us with the contract requirements and the deadline. Turnaround depends on the carrier and whether coverage is already in place, but we will tell you honestly on the phone whether your timeline is realistic.
Do I need workers comp in Texas if I only have two employees?
Texas does not require most private employers to carry workers compensation. That said, general contractors routinely require it in their subcontractor agreements, so the real question is usually what your contracts demand rather than what the state demands. Call and we will walk through your situation.
Do you handle both my insurance and my taxes?
Yes. That is the whole point of how this office is set up. One relationship, one set of people who know your situation.
Can I switch insurance agencies in the middle of a policy term?
In most cases yes, and you usually do not have to cancel the policy to change who services it. Call us and we will explain what applies to your specific policy.
What should I bring for tax preparation?
Photo ID, Social Security cards for everyone on the return, all income documents such as W-2s and 1099s, and last year’s return if you have it. If you are self-employed, bring your income and expense records. Call ahead if you are unsure.
Tell us what you need
Call us or send an email and tell us a little about your situation. We respond during business hours, usually the same day.
